Welcome to the real byron bay.
Byron Bay is home to great surf and beautiful beaches, and although this is a pretty good starting point, there is so much more to experience. I fell in love with this remarkable place some time ago and I went through the long and somewhat stressful process of making it my home (immigration, visas and so on). I don’t fall in love easily, and although I do like beautiful surroundings, it was more than this that made me want to stay so fiercly. What made me want to stay, I can sum up in three words; people, passion & possibilities.
Described to me as ‘a town full of black sheep’, Byron Bay draws all kinds of people who are individual, passionate, kind, expressive and driven, many of whom never leave. Byron Bay seems to welcome and encourages this uniqueness & creativity, opening up all sorts of possibilities.There is magic here and it is that I want to share. This to me is the real byron bay.
